Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia's Health Minister Chua Soi Lek has admitted to being the man shown engaging in a sex romp captured in two DVDs that have gained wide circulation but says he will not resign. He also apologised to Malaysians, his supporters and colleagues while saying that he had not recorded the video clip.
MALAYSIA: Malaysia's health minister has resigned from his post after a sex scandal in which he featured in two pornographic videos where he was shown with a woman he described as a "personal friend". Chua Soi Lek 61 stepped down yesterday, a day after conceding that he was the man shown indulging in various sexual acts in the DVDs which were widely circulated in the minister's home state of Johor. Chua, a former doctor who is married with three children, had initially refused to resign after saying he had apologised to the Malaysian prime minister, Abdullah Badawi, and his family, who had accepted his remorse.
The girl was allegedly one of his personal friends. The DVDs are believed to be wireless hidden camera recordings in a hotel suite. He claimed no involvement in the filming or production of the DVD in question, further stating that he would not resign over the scandal, instead leaving it up to Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to decide whether to allow him to continue holding his position. Twelve years before the events at the focus of the series, the nine-tailed demon fox attacked Konohagakure.
